Are you ready to take your margarita game up a notch? Look no further than this delightful and refreshing strawberry rosé margarita! This cocktail combines the classic flavors of tequila and orange liqueur with the sweetness of fresh strawberries and the crispness of rosé wine. Plus, a hint of mint and squeeze of lime add an extra layer of freshness.

As summer rolls around, there’s nothing quite like sipping on a refreshing cocktail to beat the heat. And when it comes to the perfect summer libation, the Strawberry Rosé Margarita takes the crown. With its delightful combination of fruity sweetness and tangy citrus flavors, this vibrant cocktail is a true crowd-pleaser. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or hosting a backyard barbecue, the Strawberry Rosé Margarita is the ideal drink to cool down and celebrate the joys of the season.

What is the best tequila to use for this strawberry rosé margarita?

At first blush, tequila and rosé may not seem like an obvious match, but the combo results in a well-balanced flavor profile that truly sets this cocktail apart. The sweetness of the strawberries and the subtle floral notes of the rosé wine meld harmoniously with the tartness of lime and the distinct kick of tequila. Blanco tequila pairs perfectly with this recipe, but you could also use añejo or reposado. The resulting combination is a burst of flavors that dance on your taste buds, leaving you refreshed and craving another sip.

Can Margaritas be healthy?

If you’ve been of drinking age since at least 2011, chances are you’ve heard of the Skinny Margarita – a brand brought to fame by reality TV star, Bethenny Frankel, with the goal of helping you enjoy your drinking without taking in too many calories. I am a BIG fan of a skinny margarita, and I’m delighted to share with you you can make them right at home without a pre-made mix. I can’t wrap my head around it, but most restaurants and bars add simple syrup, sugary syrup, artificial lime juice, or god-forbid that fluorescent, shelf-stable margarita mix to their cocktails and it is entirely unnecessary! You end up drinking a calorie-rich sugar bomb that guarantees gut-rot later. Let’s change that with this recipe! With the brightness of the orange liqueur, the tanginess of the citrus, the crisp rosé, and the naturally sweet berries, no added sweetener is needed!

What you need to make this strawberry rosé margarita

One of the great things about the Strawberry Rosé Margarita is its versatility. While the classic recipe is undeniably delicious, there’s room to get creative and customize it to suit your preferences. You can experiment with different types of rosé wines, each offering its own unique flavors and aromas. Additionally, you could swap mint for basil to change up the drink’s herbal notes, try different fruit like grapefruit or other berries, and even incorporate a splash of sparkling water for a fizzy twist. The possibilities are endless, allowing you to create a signature Strawberry Rosé Margarita that perfectly suits your taste. For this version, you will need:

  • Ripe Strawberries
  • Fresh Mint
  • Blanco Tequila
  • Orange Liqueur, such as Cointreau, Triple Sec, or Grand Marnier
  • Dry Rosé Wine: To make this drink with even less sugar, I opt for an organic, low-sugar rosé from Dry Farm Wines or Scout & Cellar.
  • Lime Juice
  • Salt

Let’s raise our glasses and toast to the season with this delectable and refreshing cocktail. If a fiesta is in your future, these pair wonderfully with these BBQ Jackfruit Tacos – Cheers to summer!
