The secret to their amazing flavor lies in the combination of zesty citrus juices – orange, lemon, and lime – along with a dash of white wine vinegar and a hint of salt. This simple yet magical concoction strikes the perfect balance between tangy and sweet, enhancing the taste of your favorite dishes like you wouldn’t believe.

And let’s talk about that color! The natural vibrant pink hue of these pickled onions is an absolute show-stopper. It’s like adding a pop of colorful excitement to your plate, elevating both the visual appeal and taste of your creations. Think about it – these Quick Pickled Onions are not just an ingredient; they’re edible art!

Now, let’s get down to business – making these delectable Quick Pickled Onions is a breeze:

  1. Thinly slice your red onion using a mandolin, food processor, or good old knife skills.
  2. Transfer those beautiful onion ribbons into a jar, and pour in the vibrant trio of orange juice, lemon juice, and lime juice.
  3. Add a touch of white wine vinegar for that extra tangy kick, and don’t forget a pinch of salt to balance out the flavors.
  4. Shake it like you mean it – give that jar a good shake to ensure all the flavors mingle and dance together.
  5. Pop your creation into the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours (but overnight is even better!). Those flavors will mingle and intensify as they marinate.

The best part? These Quick Pickled Onions are a gift that keeps on giving!

Store them in an airtight container in your fridge, and they’ll stay ready to brighten up your meals for up to 4 weeks. That’s right – you’ll have a stash of tangy, vibrant goodness ready to sprinkle on whatever your heart desires.
